This was my third time visiting Key West, FL and I fell in love with it even more. It really is my happy place. It was a super quick trip, but I managed to eat at some great restaurants and explore the city a little bit. One thing that remains constant every time I go, is the visit to Ernest Hemingway's house. It's just so charming.
Places to Eat
Ok! To start off our day, we had breakfast at this cute cafe which a police officer recommended to us. I had this amazing egg, back & cheese sandwich. It was, honestly, insane. The bread was so soft and delicious. Coffee was also excellent and we had some muffins. 10/10 I would come back.
My friend suggested we check out this place for lunch and it did not disappoint! I had the burger and it was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were so refreshing and delicious The vibe of the place is super fun and relaxed.
A must if you're in Key West. I don't have too much of a sweet tooth, but it's nice and refreshing after walking around. Pro tip: sit in the backyard, there's a pond with fishes and it's super cute.
You simply must visit it. They do free tours so you can learn the history of the house (It was the first house in Key West that had a pool!), and you can also see the six-toe cats. It's so cool to see Hemingway's studio where he worked and wrote most of his works. A must-see!
Every time I'm in Key West, I said to myself that I need to move here, even for a few months. I need to live in a conch house at least once in my life!
If you're ever in South Florida, please visit Key West!
